Thistle Michiana District Championships 06 deedsphotos

Crescent Sail Yacht Club inaugurated its $3 million harbor improvement project June 10-11, 2006 with the Michiana Thistle District Championship regatta. Twenty boats competed in the 6-race event. The new small boat harbor was a big success. Two jib cranes allowed the sailors to launch and pull their boats in a matter of a few minutes. The weather cooperated as well allowing the RC to get in 4 races on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. The Northerly wind was moderate and shifty.
