New York 32

New York 32 Night Heron is owned by Dan and Donna McCosh of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Over the past ten years or so they have restored Night Heron to near original condition.

The New York 32 is a 1935 45-ft Olin Stephens design for New York Yacht Club. The boat was originally priced at $11,000. About thirty of these elegant one designs were bulit and 20 are still sailing. Three call Lake St. Clair their home--Apache hull#2, Sapphire #15 and Night Heron #16. Apache and Sapphire are at Detroit Yacht Club and Night Heron is up the lake at Crescent Sail Yacht Club. Dan and Donna McCosh race Night Heron on Mondays in Crescent's double-handed series in June and August.
