The Crescent Sloop

The Crescent Sloop, pictured below, is one of the earliest fiberglass sailboats, built in the early 1970s in Detroit, and it is the oldest one design class still active on Lake St. Clair. The boat was designed by Dick Hill, a local sailor and automobile designer who belonged to Crescent Sail Yacht Club from which the class boat got its name.
