Dame, 1941 Chris-Craft Runabout
Many Detroiters like to restore old cars and old boats. Dame is a 1941 ChrisCraft Runabout owned by John Wayman and John Garr. Dame is a real beauty, carefully restored to near original condition. In the pictures below she's parked for dinner at Crescent Sail Yacht Club on Lake St. Clair.
The Chris-Craft legend began in Algonac, Michigan, on the St. Clair River in 1874 when Christopher Columbus Smith built his first boat at age 13.

Hi Don,I would be interrested in a 17' Deluxe, but I see this was posted 2 years ago. Do you still have it? You can call me at 952-471-3300. I don't want to post my email address online.Kathyhttp://www.classicboat.com
Hi, I was trying to find an alternate route to go about this; however I see no other contact information.
I am an employee of The Mariners' Museum and noticed that there are a couple images on this site that belong to us and are not credited to us or our collection (the close up of Chris Smith and the image just below). I have spoken to our director of licensing and she is not aware of having given permission for the use of these images. If you have been given permission simply send us a quick message to remind us of when it was given and under what organization or name, and we do request that a credit line be added below the image If you have not been given permission, we ask that someone contact us in order to acquire the rights for use.
Thank you.
Oh, what it must be like to be rich../sigh
Why would someone post their phone number here and then say "I don't want to put my Email address online". LOL! Happy boating, all.. The ChrisCraft's are BEAUTIFUL!

If you know of anyone looking for a decent restoration project I have the perfect project. I have a 1940-41 17' Custom Runabout. It was restored in 1995 and has been in storage since that time. I guess it only has 10-20 hrs since the restor. The motor was upgraded to a 120hp KLC. The eclectical is all 12V with an alternator. This boat is in good shape with no rot. Has A decent trailer.
